Doom 3 can be run in widescreen resolution if you make an autoexec.cfg file with the custom resolution and switch in it. Go to http://www.techspot.com/tweaks/doom3/ and use their tweak guide (I'm not affiliated with them) and Doom 3 looks like a brand new game!
