| Welcome to WideScreenGamer.com! |
|
We're working on the final touches of our new site (including a logo! and... some content maybe!) WideScreenGamer.com intends to be a resource to the many people who are starting to get into playing games on a widescreen display, particularly LCD monitors. There is quite a bit to go through when playing a game on a wide aspect screen, especially if it's one of the many that doesn't support the wide aspect natively. We intend to specify which visual settings work best for certain games, video cards, and monitors. Also, we plan to list every game that natively supports widescreen resolutions; two that come to mind right now are World of Warcraft and Half Life 2. If you just got a new widescreen monitor, and haven't been impressed by the way games look, you need to check these games out to see your monitor at its full potential. Finally, we plan on reviewing all sorts of widescreen hardware, such as monitors from Dell and Apple, and offer advice on everything hardware related. Perhaps we can talk about notebooks some time! Keep an eye on us if you're at all interested in gaming on widescreen displays. There is a lot to learn! For now, there is not much to see. Any content that is on here right now is likely to be placeholder, so if you see something you don't like, please understand that. If you see something you do like... well that will stay! ;)
